Instagram doesn’t have a special ad format yet to increase the number of followers. However, ads on Instagram can be driven by the Facebook ad manager.

You can use your Facebook account to launch an ad campaign that leads a user to your Instagram account. Make sure you connect your Instagram account to your Facebook page.

Here’s how you can get more followers with ads on Instagram:

STEP 1: CREATE A NEW CAMPAIGN WITH THE GOAL “CLICKS ON THE WEBSITE”

First, open the Ad Manager on Facebook and choose the ‘Goal for your Website’ campaign as the target.

Then you will be asked to insert the URL of your website. This is where you make a way! Here you can add the address of your Instagram profile as your destination URL instead of the URL of your website. Those who click on that ad are most likely to follow you!

STEP 2: DEFINE THE TARGET AUDIENCE AND BUDGET FOR YOUR CAMPAIGN

In the next step, you first determine the target group of the campaign. You define whom you want to reach with your ads on Instagram and choose a budget.

Instagram campaigns have all the Facebook-aware targeting options available. And these work effectively and yield amazing results!

The following targeting options are extremely effective for Instagram campaigns:

Custom Audiences: With Custom Audiences, you can reach people on Instagram who have visited your website or subscribed to your newsletter. Pro tip: Create a Custom Audience website and redirect visitors to your website to Instagram with your ads.

Lookalike Audiences: On Instagram, for example, you can attract your Lookalike Audiences through Facebook followers or newsletter subscribers. Add a Lookalike Audience under the “Custom Audiences” option.
